Fees, Rebates & Funding

The cost of a session is:

$200 if you are seeing a clinician who is an AASW Accredited Mental Health Social Worker
$140 if you are seeing a clinician who is an ACA Registered Counsellor

Yes, Medicare rebates are available if you are seeing a Mental Health Social Worker and you have a GP referral along with a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP). The rebate is $89.50 per session. Rebates are only available for up to 10 sessions per year.

Once you have obtained a MHTP from your GP you can send it through to us directly, attach it to your intake form or bring it in at your first session.

Rebates are not available for counselling sessions. To ensure our billing structure is equivalent across the board, the counselling rate is set at a lower fee per session, and this lower rate is applicable for all sessions – not just 10.

No, you don’t need a referral to see us. You only need a referral if you are seeing a clinician who offers Medicare rebates and you are wanting to access the rebate.

The cost of our group work programs depends on which program you attend. Fees range from between $25 and $50 per session. Some of our group work programs are eligible for Medicare rebates. Ask us for more information.

We understand that therapy is an important investment in your wellbeing. Where it helps, we are happy to discuss flexible payment plans by prior agreement only. Otherwise, payment is required on the day.

If you are unable to attend a scheduled appointment we greatly appreciate as much notice as possible, so that this spot can be offered to someone else.

Cancellations with less that 24 hours notice may be charged at full session fee.

Yes, absolutely. We are able to support plan and self-managed clients aged 6 to adult. This is generally billed through Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living – Therapy Supports.

Yes we do. Please note that there is a co-payment cost for Workcover and TAC clients of between $20 and $25.

What to Expect

Before your first session we will provide a brief intake form via email. We appreciate you completing this. If there is anything you would like us to know before we see you, you can make a note of it on this form.

There are no expectations when you come in for your first session. You may know exactly what you want to get out of therapy, or you may just be getting started and we can work that out together. We value creating a relaxed, no pressure environment where you can feel comfortable.

Generally in a first session we may ask what made you decide to come in, ask you some questions about yourself to get to know you, and see if you have any goals for your time with us.

Sometimes people tell us that before their first appointment they worry they won’t know what to say or may say the “wrong” thing. There are no wrong answers – and you don’t need to know what to say – we work that out together!

Sessions run for 50 minutes
The length of group sessions depends on the group that you are attending.
(Please note that NDIS sessions are billed for 60 minutes, which includes 50 minutes of face-to-face consultation, and 10 minutes of planning and administration)

All our clinicians are wonderful – but some people just click better. If you have been linked with a clinician but would prefer to try chatting to someone else on our team, that’s easy! Simply email our administration manager for a confidential chat about who might be the best fit. We are a team and are always happy for you to work with different clinicians across your journey with us if that’s what works for you.
